Built at an altitude of 80 meters in the valley of the Pentaschoinos River, the village is surrounded by the Kopelloi and Marmarokremmos mountains, offering an oasis of coolness and natural beauty.
The area is renowned for its rich vegetation, with olive trees, carob trees, citrus trees, and other fruit-bearing plants shaping the landscape. From August to October, migratory birds known as “ambelopoulia” stop in the Pentaschoinos valley during their seasonal journey.
Historically, Agios Theodoros Larnakas was established when the residents of Pentaschoinos moved from their old village due to pirate raids and malaria, seeking refuge in this safer and healthier environment.
Today, the village preserves its traditional architecture, with houses built from local limestone, narrow streets, and charming wooden balconies. The area offers visitors a peaceful and authentic Cypriot experience, blending tradition with natural beauty.

Heart Sea View Point
This View Point is a scenic coastal viewpoint in Agios Theodoros, known for its heart-shaped photo frame and beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a peaceful spot to enjoy the sea breeze, capture memorable photos, and admire the natural beauty of the Cyprus coastline, especially during sunset.
Nature Trail “To Vrytzhi”
The area’s natural environment is unique and part of the Natura 2000 protected network. The 850-meter trail “To Vrytzhi” offers stunning landscapes, gorges, caves, and dramatic geological formations, perfect for family walks. The trail was awarded the Green Flag at the 2019 Cyprus National Awards in the “Sustainable Tourism” category, making our community the first in Larnaka to receive this recognition.
Community Central Bridge
Located at the center of the community, this bridge connects the two parts of the village. It has stone foundations, while the upper part is now made of concrete and asphalt (formerly wooden). Residents still use it to admire the Pentaschoinos River.

Psyllos Bridge
The “Sinapin” bridge was historically used as an irrigation channel, as evidenced by the stone trough preserved beneath the later surface. It is part of the Venetian Hatziatou Watermill, one of the most important hydrogeological works of its time.
